GST e-Invoice in 2026: what changed and what you must report

01 April 2026 · 7 min read

From 1 April 2026, businesses with aggregate annual turnover of ₹10 crore or more must report tax invoices to the IRP within 30 days of the invoice date. Multi-factor authentication is mandatory on the IRP and e-way bill portals. ### What VonBill does for you - Computes the IRN as a SHA-256 hash of supplier GSTIN, financial year, document type and number. - Generates the signed QR code string and renders it on the PDF. - Lets you download the e-invoice JSON in GST INV-1 schema. ### What you still need to do - Register on the IRP and enable MFA. - Connect your GSP (or use the NIC sandbox for testing) before going live. - Keep your HSN masters up to date — VonBill ships the 2026 master but you can override per item.
